Weekly NewsletterHey Reader! The results are in from last week's poll- 62.5% of you are Rope Droppers and the other 37.5% of you like to sleep in! Picture this: it’s 2015, and Ethan (boyfriend at the time!) and I have just arrived at my then-favourite resort—Disney’s Caribbean Beach. This was before they moved things around, when the check-in building was way out of the way. I was so excited! We were finally staying in Jamaica (I’d always ended up in Aruba before), and I couldn’t wait to show Ethan the resort I loved so much. Our room was ready, and we were eager to drop our bags and head straight to Magic Kingdom. But when we got to the room… something felt off. My MagicBand wouldn’t open the door. Then I noticed—the door was already open. And someone else’s stuff was inside. 😳 Total mix-up! And since Caribbean Beach is a huge resort, we really didn’t want to trek (or bus) all the way back to the front desk. Thankfully, a Cast Member delivering in-room gifts happened to walk by. He called the front desk, got everything sorted, and sent us to the right room in no time. After a long travel day, it would’ve been so easy to let that little hiccup ruin our mood—or even our trip. But we didn’t. We laughed it off, went to the park, and had the best time. Here’s the thing: things will go wrong on vacation. Flights get delayed, plans shift, and sometimes your room isn’t quite what you expected. But how you react can make all the difference. Be kind to the Cast Members—they’re doing their best—and remember: an imperfect day at Disney is still better than a perfect day at home.
