🎟️ Do You Really Need a Park Hopper Ticket?

Weekly Newsletter

Hey Reader!

When you're putting together a Disney trip, one of the biggest and often debated questions is:

🎟️ Do you need a Park Hopper ticket?

For those who aren't familiar, Park Hopper lets you visit more than one park per day. That means you could start at Magic Kingdom in the morning, grab lunch in EPCOT, and end your evening with fireworks in Hollywood Studios. Sounds magical… but it also adds cost (and logistics).

So how do you decide whether it’s worth it? Here’s how I think about it:

You might not need Park Hopper if…

  • It’s your first time, and you’d rather immerse yourself in one park without rushing.
  • You’re travelling with little ones who might need naps or breaks.
  • You’re visiting during peak times—moving between parks can feel stressful.
  • You’re trying to stick to a tighter budget and want to minimize extras.

Park Hopper might be worth it if…

  • You want flexibility—if one park gets crowded, you can hop to another.
  • You’ve been to WDW before and want to revisit favorites across different parks.
  • You’re staying at a resort with easy access (like on the Skyliner or Monorail loop).
  • You have shorter park days but want to “see it all” across multiple parks in one trip.

I’ve also written a deeper dive on how to choose the right park pass on my blog. If you want help weighing One Park Per Day, Park Hopper, or Hopper Plus, check this out:
👉 Choosing the Right Park Pass for Your Walt Disney World Vacation

It lays out:

  • What each pass option gives you (One Park, Hopper, Hopper Plus)
  • When Hopper is truly useful (and when it’s not)
  • Tips on saving money and making the most of your ticket

If you’re still unsure what works best for your trip, hit reply and tell me your travel style (kids? adults only? how many parks you want to see), and I’ll help you choose.

Have you used Park Hopper before? I’d love to hear what worked (or didn’t) for you. 💛

That wraps up this newsletter. Have a great week!

Weekly Newsletter Hey Reader! One of the first and biggest decisions when planning a Disney trip is: where to stay. Disney has more than 25 resorts, ranging from budget-friendly Value Resorts to luxurious Deluxe Resorts. And while the themes are fun and the pools are amazing, if you’re traveling with someone who has accessibility needs, there are a few extra things to consider: ✨ Is the room type accessible — roll-in shower, tub, or hearing accessible? ✨ How far is it from the bus stop or...

Weekly Newsletter Hey Reader! Planning a Disney trip comes with a lot of decisions — where to stay, when to go, what to ride first. But if you or someone in your family has food allergies, there’s a whole extra layer to think through. I’ve been there. Whether it’s avoiding dairy, managing celiac, or needing pureed food due to a disability, we’ve had to ask a lot of questions to make meals safe on our trips. So today I’m sharing what I’ve learned about how to plan a Disney trip when you have...

Weekly Newsletter Hey Reader! I wanted to share a little reflection from our last Disney trip ( I can't believe we were there this time last year!)—because sometimes the best planning tips come from what didn’t work quite as expected. As you know, traveling with a toddler means you’re always balancing that precious “happy window” of time before the meltdown clock runs out. 😅 One thing I’d definitely do differently next time? Make fewer dining reservations. On paper, it sounded great: a couple...
